Functional Statement

As provided for the law, RA 7160, Office of the Mayor “ exercise general supervision and control over all programs,  projects,  services,  and  activities  of the municipal government, enforces all laws and ordinances relative to the governance  of  the  municipality  and  the  exercise  of  its corporate powers” (Section  22),  implements  all  approved  policies,  programs,  projects,  services  and activities   of  the  municipality,  initiates  and  maximizes  the  generation of resources   and  revenues,  and applies the same to the implementation of development  plans,  program  objectives  and  priorities  (Section 18), and ensures the  delivery  of  basic  services  and  provision  of  Adequate facilities  (Section 17).

Objectives

The  Office  of  the  Mayor  aims  to  ensure  the  stability  and  competitiveness  of  the  Local  Government  Unit  in   terms   of  social,  political   and   economic  aspects  with  reference  to  the  bigger  challenges   faced   by   the Local  Government    Unit   in   view   of   the   full   Implementation   of   R.A.  7160.
